Pops & Panache
Saturday December 12, 2pm Neumann Auditorium | Wartburg Soprano Bárbara Padilla performed in the opening concert of our 2023-24 season. She returns to deck the concert hall with holiday cheer. Create cozy holiday memories with friends and family in a magical afternoon of music that will leave you feeling merry and bright. Special guests will also include members of the Waverly Shell-Rock high school choral program. |

Saturday February 20, 2pm Neumann Auditorium | Wartburg Three masters of emotion keep February’s Valentine vibes flowing. The sparkling melodies of Gwyneth Walker’s Overture of Diamonds, evolve into the sweeping, passionate depths of Sergei Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2 performed by Stephen Mulvahill. The lighthearted charm of Ludwig van Beethoven’s Symphony No. 8, rounds out this evocative and eloquent concert, commemorating the 200th anniversary from the composer’s passing. |
Magic & Mystique
Saturday April 10, 7pm Neumann Auditorium | Wartburg The season closes with a spark of discovery and reawakening beginning with Jennifer Higdon’s Blue Cathedral. Written to evoke a journey of contemplation and expansion of the soul, the music pairs beautifully with Igor Stravinsky’s dazzling and transformative Firebird Suite. Winners of the Wartburg concerto and aria competition will round out the program. |
